On experience from last year, I have always found assignment one the most difficult to complete as there hasn't been enough momentum behind me yet to push myself, in saying that, I have it better to complete work so far with quality over quantity. It has been reminded of us over the year to push really in depth into work instead of writing lots of blog posts with not a lot of content to them, I feel like I am in the habit of this now and I am pushing myself forward ensuring that each entry of work I have is to a good standard and quality. Already I am quite overwhelmed with the amount of work that has been given to us but I know with the focus and determination I have, I can really give my finale FMP a good go. The biggest piece of work for assignment one, for me personally, was definitely the 'creative' show of ideas, having to push my ideas to take them to a high level of work considering we are finale year students has been tough as I felt so unmotivated to begin with, however by creating visuals for inspiration and also thinking about what I would like to do after college has given me a creative push to see my future in sight, as Digital Marketing is a career that I am fully intrigued in pursing after the course, my chosen idea of marketing an app is really relevant to this and should benefit me if I am to go down this path in the future.
Now that I have the base down completing assignment one and the go ahead from Jo to really give this project my best shot, I feel confident that I can allow my creative style take over and hope that once receiving feedback from the focus group of my target demographic that I can create a solid piece of work to be proud of.

Presentation blog
As part of assignment one, each individual needed to present their finale FMP ideas
for our finale year on the course. To do this I used Prezi, using slide show style animation process with a path from one slide to the next in the order I was working, for example, I began with stating my idea for the FMP and then my developments on from this, considering where I wanted the project to go and how its going to take shape through my research, Next in my presentation I ensured to including my pre, during and post production plans showing my times schedule for each of my processes such as my shooting and creating the visuals for the app and how I will gather my feedback from my focus group to make the changes for the app to be appealing to its target audience, this is how I will measure my success. As this app is loosely based around social media interaction, this is such a large part that I will need to focus on, which is feedback Jo gave to me during my presentation. It was good to see that this was understood though! I will really need to research just how 'Snapthat' will market itself into the saturated market of Social Media and the app stores in general, which was also feedback to me. I stated this in my presentation showing examples of what I would incorporate, as I have made the choice to do an app I wanted to incorporate an Instagram page using images to supply information to potential users, not only this but also add images that keep with the branding of the app creating a more visual Instagram page than a informative page using hashtags, keeping the page active. I ensured i added all of this into my presentation as i believe it is important to show where i found my ideas from before and how i was building up the research to create my own app branding.
I also stated my inspirations for my finale project, showing app inspiration I take inspiration from as well as the illustrations I would like to use as inspiration when it comes to shooting for example usage of the app, as said in my presentation I am aiming for more editorial style of theme therefore the work I use in my research for inspiration or research purposes must be relevant to me. Planning to direct, take and edit the photos myself but also creating the apps concept and overall branding is a lot of work and It needed to be acknowledge how involved I am in the creation of my FMP as well as the fact this is all research leading towards my finale project, ensuring I noted this in my presentation that I would be blogging all of my processes to reflect on during my post production blogging. I also spoke about my time scheduling to show my aims for deadlines showing in my presentation that although my schedule is tight if I work to the best of my ability is, adding to my work during half term I can reach my targets of good quality work. Leading on from this I began to speak about other research devices I would be using, taking advantage of new research tools I have learnt over my finale year I have decided to incorporate newer styles such as read ups of articles and books to push my research to a newer and more in depth level instead of average and predictable tasks like focus groups and questionnaires.
Overall, I am happy with the feedback given to me after presenting my finale FMP. It has given me a lot to consider which I wouldn't have unless pointed out to me, important aspects such as how I would market the app but also distinguishing the fact that I am not creating the app itself, it is a concept app and I am focusing more on the branding and marketing of it, I will use this feedback to then incorporate it into my focus groups and other research methods to ensure I get the best outcome possible.

Areas of development with pathway lecturer
Upon talking to Steve, it has been great to develop my idea into a visual product in my mind. Speaking to Steve, I pitched him the idea of marketing a mock up app called 'Snapthat', which he was all for thanks to my well thought out ideas and being able to convoy these to him. One piece of advice Steve did give was to use the software Adobe XD, in doing this he said that it should make my design process easier when considering the layout of the app itself, although the app itself will not function (which was never my intention anyway) it will give clear visuals showing my own intentions. Another process Steve and I have worked on together was creating myself a reliable time table for me to come back to and work around, the time scale is simple to follow and I am sure I can stick to it, there is two weeks left at the end of the time table for me to work on any excess work that may be needed or finishing up before our projects are due, which is a good thing. I also considered taking up other pathway ideas, weighing up the pros and cons with Steve was really beneficial in terms of what he thought would be most challenging but rewarding for me, suggesting some of my other ideas such as creating a marketing campaign for an existing brand or rebranding them didn't really sell to me or Steve as I have done similar ideas over this year. Confirming the approval of my idea of 'Snapthat' from Steve, it has given me the motivation to pursue this idea further and really give my finale project the best I can.
