The Pyramid scheme animation was simple, yet effective at explaining what it is and how to avoid being scammed by a pyramid scheme business. The animation showed hierarchies that clearly emphasised the large business profiting off of smaller distributors who are bullied into buying the products to then sell on allowing the business to make money however the distributors lose out on it after they realise the difficultly of selling the products that nobody really wants to sell. The animation itself was simple however the narrator was saying a lot of information so i can understand why they film was left like this, with simple images that do not distract from the information.
Pyramid scheme businesses are now more popular than ever with the use of social media to boost sales with the likes of stay at home mums buying into the schemes believing the promise that they can make a lot of money without leaving the house. Examples of popular Pyramid schemes in the UK include; Juice plus, Younique make up and also Avon beauty.
